The film starts with voice over by Julie (Jill Delaney) which sets the minimalist plot running as she rides on her Ducati 750 into Melbourne.

When Julie Bottomley discovers her husband of 10 years has been sleeping with her sister, her first instinct is to kill him. However, rather than risk life imprisonment herself, she devises a better plan to get revenge on Ian by faking her own death and framing him for murder. But can she resist the temptation to let her jailed husband know just how "Dead Clever" she's been?

One woman's day at jury duty turns into a wacky eternity.

A killer has killed once and kidnapped another victim, challenging the investigative and forensic team to work out why. Suddenly everyone's past comes under scrutiny, everyone's version of the truth comes under suspicion. Kay Rousseau, who heads up the crime team, is back at work after the death of her child. Suspicion about her involvement in this death remains, not least in her own husband. Only Matt Costello, Kay's second-in-command and a dedicated, impassioned copper, is loyal to the core.

A young man is haunted daily by apparent hallucinations.
